SSA Code of Conduct

Upholding Excellence, Integrity, and Respect in All Aspects of Academy Life

Coaches & Team Managers

  1. Personal Conduct: Maintain highest moral and professional standards on and off the field; behavior reflects discipline, integrity, and leadership.
  2. Representative of SSA: Act in a manner that positively reflects the Academy’s mission and standards.
  3. Compliance: Follow all applicable laws and league regulations.
  4. Continuing Education: Commit to ongoing coaching education and SSA training requirements.
  5. Game Day Coaching: Remain positive and instructional; only registered coaches may instruct players.
  6. Sportsmanship: Focus on player development over scoring when appropriate.
  7. Safety: Player safety is the highest priority.
  8. Coaching Objectives: Player development first, competitive excellence second. Non-competitive U8–U10 focus on fun and skill; Competitive U11+ balance development and winning responsibly.
  9. Playing Time: Minimums by age group: U8–U10: 50%, U11–U12: 25%, U13–U19: Coach discretion; Intramural: equal time.
  10. Referees: Public criticism prohibited.
  11. Reports, League Contact & Violations: Non-compliance may result in suspension or termination at SSA’s discretion.

Athletes

  1. Respect the game and all participants.
  2. Train and compete with a positive attitude.
  3. Show discipline in practice and games.
  4. Display sportsmanship in victory and defeat.
  5. Respect facilities and equipment.
  6. Play safely within the Laws of the Game.
  7. Commit to team responsibilities.
  8. Embrace accountability and growth.

SSA athletes represent intelligence, discipline, and passion.

Parents / Spectators

Violations may result in removal, suspension, or restriction from future events.
