Coaches & Team Managers
Personal Conduct: Maintain highest moral and professional standards on and off the field; behavior reflects discipline, integrity, and leadership.
Representative of SSA: Act in a manner that positively reflects the Academy’s mission and standards.
Compliance: Follow all applicable laws and league regulations.
Continuing Education: Commit to ongoing coaching education and SSA training requirements.
Game Day Coaching: Remain positive and instructional; only registered coaches may instruct players.
Sportsmanship: Focus on player development over scoring when appropriate.
Safety: Player safety is the highest priority.
Coaching Objectives: Player development first, competitive excellence second. Non-competitive U8–U10 focus on fun and skill; Competitive U11+ balance development and winning responsibly.
Playing Time: Minimums by age group: U8–U10: 50%, U11–U12: 25%, U13–U19: Coach discretion; Intramural: equal time.
Referees: Public criticism prohibited.
Reports, League Contact & Violations: Non-compliance may result in suspension or termination at SSA’s discretion.
Athletes
Respect the game and all participants.

Show discipline in practice and games.
Display sportsmanship in victory and defeat.

Play safely within the Laws of the Game.

Parents / Spectators
Encourage effort, not just outcomes.
Remain in designated spectator areas.
Respect referees and coaches.
Avoid sideline coaching.
Refrain from offensive or abusive language.
Allow children to lead post-game discussions.
Support development over winning.
Violations may result in removal, suspension, or restriction from future events.
